Critical Demographer & Political Ecologist
About
Welcome! I explore how population narratives, ecological "crises", and social justice intersect in today’s climate and migration debates. My work dismantles persistent Malthusian myths and advances feminist, and decolonial approaches to just transition.I am a critical demographer and political ecologist navigating the collision of demographic fears, ecological collapse, and systemic inequality. Rooted in political ecology and decolonial feminist theory, my research challenges extractive logics in climate governance and climate (im)mobilities discourse. From exposing how demographic anxieties constrain climate action to
contributing to Belgium's just transition framework, my work demonstrates how critical analysis can inform governance that centres marginalised voices and advances systemic change grounded in ecological integrity and collective care.Currently affiliated with the Brussels Centre for Social and Population Studies.

Publications
Whether it takes the form of a book, an article, or an op-ed, I’m rarely not writing. This is where the thoughts that persist long enough to find words end up.
